How to create a Portfolio in Blackboard

Page history last edited by ShareRiff 2 years ago

... nothing more can be attempted than to establish the beginning and the direction of an infinitely long road. The pretension of any systematic and definitive completeness would be, at least, a self-illusion. Perfection can here be obtained by the individual student only in the subjective sense that (s)he communicates everything (s)he has been able to see.

Hey everyone here are basic instructions on how to create a portfolio. I can't seem to get my screenshots to paste into the wiki so I have attached word files (doc, and docx) and also a pdf version. I would recommend looking at the document, if you are like me and a visual learner i think it will help you out.

1.Log into Blackboard and Click the Content Collection Tab.

2.Under the Jump To.. Section Click e-Portfolios.

3.Click My Portfolios

4. Click Create Basic Portfolio Tab

5. Type in a Name for your portfolio and a brief description. Make sure Availability is selected Yes and Comments is selected as Shared. Then Click Submit.

6. Click the drop down arrow  for the selected portfolio, then click build.

7. Click the Add Link Tab.

8. Copy the URL from your wiki page. (Have it open in another tab for easy access.)

9. Give the Link a name and paste the URL in the space provided. Make sure Yes is selected and click submit.

10. That’s it you are done go back to My Portfolios and make sure it works.

*If anyone has any issues just shoot me an email (npierce2@mail.usf.edu) and I will help you out.

Hey Nate, Aren't we supposed to somehow add Trey as a user to share our portfolios with in order for him to view them? I remember last semester having to add several professors onto my share list for my portfolios...but I don't remember how...maybe it's different now...i don't know...can someone tell me?
